Wang Ying-Chieh/Hui-Chun Lin

Ｔhat was a very interesting meeting with Erhu player Wang, a very active women musician, her repertoire go through chinese classical music, contemporary music, and free improvised music. She has experience perform as solo Erhu player in orchestra also works in chamber music, multi-media arts. 
This session we did was in Kaohsiung, an afternoon, we can hear at 1 set. during very qiuet moment noise from the street. I like the contrast during the 1. set, there are very energetic movement at the beginning and than go down and down to the very quiet moment, like death that gray and foggy. The 2. Set was like music in different dance movements, a Rhapsody, really being in the music, making sounds and actions. Sounds of Erhu can make very big changes and sometimes we still can see the nuance of chinese music texture.
